Glass

This bowl is dark purple and a purple swirled glass. It's hard to tell the right colors. I made it--by request--for my poker pal Carol. She saw the pastel one I had done over the summer and had to have one. I'm giving it to her on Sunday. Hope she loves it!

This is an iridescent blue that you cannot really see. I added some swirled blue accents to the corners. Then I slumped. The dish is 5" x 5".

This tray uses the same glass as the smaller dish above. The pre-slumped size was 5" x 10". The accents aren't completely fused but are more fused than a tack. I slumped the ends over two steel pipe pieces (3/4" x 6") that I got at Lowe's. They are threaded on the ends, but when wrapped with thinfire paper it doesn't matter.

This is a side view to show how the piece slumped.
I was worried that the thinfire paper wouldn't work right on the pipe and the glass would stick. But it didn't and it looks gorgeous! I love it. I think I'm keeping it for me! But I will make some in Christmas colors for others.
