Feathers from Angel's Wings

Today it snowed and was absolutely beautiful. I was driving home from lunch with Jim, with HUGE flakes hitting the wind shield. They looked just like feathers. Except they melted immediately upon hitting the ground or the car, instead of floating about in the breeze.

I decided they were the feathers from angels' wings. I figure they were shaking out their winter-mildewed wings, getting rid of all the underfeathers, preparing for the warmer spring and summer weather soon to come.
